General Assistance is a county-funded program that can provide one-time emergency financial assistance to eligible low-income residents of Keokuk County.

An application and supporting documentation are required to determine eligibility. Please call for more information or if you have any questions.

What Assistance is Available?

  • Partial rent payment (eviction notice required)
  • Current utility bill (disconnect notice required)
  • One-month fill on certain medications
  • Burial/cremation (indigent only)
