Belva Deer County Park Cabin
Reservations
- Cabins are available for rent through the entire year.
- Reservations will be made by phone (641-622-3757), e-mail, or in person during Conservation Board hours. (7 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
- Reservations will be accepted the first working day in January of each year.
- No cash refunds will be made, reservation dates may be changed to another date with a two week notice.
- Cabin fees will be forfeited if reservation is cancelled within two weeks of date booked.
Fees and Registration
- Cabins must be rented for two or more days during the week and during a non-holiday weekend.
- Cabins must be rented for a minimum of three days during holiday weekends of Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
- The fee per night shall be $80.00, which includes State of Iowa Lodging tax.
- A $100.00 damage/cleaning deposit is required with each cabin reservation.
- The damage/cleaning deposit check will be destroyed after inspection for damage and cleanliness.
- All fees must be received within ten working days of making a cabin reservation.
- Check in time will be 3:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m.
- When checking out, please lock the cabin and lock the key in the key box.
Rules
- Maximum number of occupants per cabin is (6) six.
- No more than (3) three vehicles per cabin are allowed at the cabin site.
- Maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights; campers are then required to leave the park for a minimum of 72 hours.
- Persons registering to use the cabins must be 21 years of age or older and must be occupying the cabin for the entire reservation period.
- No tents or campers will be allowed at the cabin site.
- Camping is allowed in designated areas only.
- SMOKING is prohibited inside the cabins.
- PETS are not allowed in cabins and must be leashed at all times.
- NO Cleaning of wild game in cabins including fish.
- No cooking or grilling on the cabin porch.
- Each campsite is permitted one table.
- Fires are permitted only in designated areas. Do not move fire rings.
- Pet waste must be removed from the cabin yard daily.
- Cabin quiet hours are enforced at 10:30 p.m.
- Guests must leave the cabins and Belva Deer Park before 10:30 p.m.
- No keg beer is allowed at cabin sites.
- All garbage must be placed in refuse containers. Do not put garbage in the fire rings.
- The Keokuk County Conservation Board Staff reserves the right to enter the cabins in cases of maintenance or security problems.
- All Keokuk County Conservation Board rules and regulations will apply to registered campers and their guests while occupying cabins.
