Infectious Disease

The Keokuk County Public Health Department conducts disease investigation and follow-up for communicable diseases reported to Iowa Health & Human Services by local healthcare providers. Our goal is to protect the health and safety of Keokuk County residents through disease monitoring, education, and response to infectious diseases, outbreaks, and foodborne illnesses. 

If you are diagnosed with a reportable disease, you may be contacted by our office as part of the investigation process. This helps us prevent further spread and protect the community.
