Real Estate Recording Fees

Any land recording received after 4:00 p.m. will be processed the next business day.

Standard Recording Fees for all Iowa Counties effective July 1, 2009.

Fees

  • Issuing Certificate showing Federal Tax Lien on file $6.00 fee per request.
  • Request a copy of Federal Tax Lien $5.00 per copy.
  • Copies of documents $1.00 per page faxed or $1.00 per document emailed.
  • Certified land documents $5.00 for first page, $1.00 for every page thereafter.

In addition to the above fees, Deeds, Subdivision Plats, Condemnations, Change of Name, Contracts and some Affidavits of Ownership require an additional $5.00 transfer fee for every section or block of land referenced. Maximum fee $50.00.

Releases, Assignments, Affidavits and any document affecting multiple documents of record are charged $7.00 per each document referenced or transaction required.
