HUNTER SAFETY EDUCATION COURSE

Hunter Safety Education Course in required by all Iowa Residents born after January 1, 1972, and all Non-Residents born after January 1, 1968, in order to purchase a hunting license.  

Available to all future hunters age 11 and up (who will be turning 12 in the upcoming season)

The course is FREE and lunch is provided.  Registration requires student's name, address, social security number, birthday, and parents' names.  Students will be required to read the Hunter Safety Education Manual and complete the test questions at the back of the manual before attending class.  Students will be required to take a test at the end of the class with a 75% passing grade. MANUALS CAN BE PICKED UP AT YOUR COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE.
