General Working Foreman

Applications are being accepted for the position of GENERAL WORKING FOREMAN by the Keokuk County Highway Department. The primary job duties include: serving as the lead operator on county road regrade projects and other projects as assigned by the County Engineer, Maintenance Superintendent, or Assistant to the Engineer; assisting with the coordination and assignment of assigned employees; assisting with the coordination and assignment of equipment and materials for the maintenance and repair of roads, bridges, culverts, traffic signs, work within the County right-of-way and related facilities within the County's Secondary Road System as well as other work as directed by the County Engineer, Maintenance Superintendent or Assistant to the Engineer. Possession of a valid driver's license, Class "B" CDL with air brake endorsement, high school or G.E.D. degree, Keokuk County residency, and two years' experience in construction and maintenance operations preferred. Must be available for work in the event of an emergency and be willing to comply with drug and alcohol testing procedures required by federal law and county policy.
